Manufacturing case study
16,000 custom carbon fiber golf umbrellas, delivered in 40 days
An urgent order for branded retail merchandise became a test of scheduling, material problem-solving and attention to the last packaging detail.
The client is described as an international electric-vehicle brand. Its name and branding are withheld under project confidentiality.

The brief was clear. The margin for error was not.
The starting point was CITTA model GOLF-48271: a 27-inch, 8-rib, auto-open straight golf umbrella. The project kept the full carbon-fiber frame while adapting the specification with a carbon-fiber straight handle, 210T full-blackout black-coated canopy fabric and high-resolution digital printing.
Forty days changed the production plan
CITTA coordinated its Shenzhen and Dancheng production bases as one order plan, dividing work by workshop capability while procurement, production follow-up and quality checks followed the same schedule.
The problem we found before it became 16,000 problems
The smooth carbon-fiber handle and shaft created an adhesion risk. The relevant process was paused while the team ran repeated bonding trials and adjusted the adhesive formulation. Assembly continued only after the bond was stable.
A small bubble can still undermine a premium retail product
When slight bubbling appeared under some color-box stickers, the packing team changed the method, used controlled heat and dedicated tools to level the surface, and checked the boxes again.
What the project proved
All 16,000 umbrellas were completed and handed over within 40 days. The client accepted the result and responded positively to the finished quality. Discuss a custom umbrella project with CITTA.
